Updated filesystem packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

The filesystem packages are among the basic packages that are installed on a Red
Hat Enterprise Linux system. The filesystem packages contain the basic directory
layout for the Linux operating system, including the correct permissions for
directories.

This update fixes the following bug:

• Previously, the filesystem packages created symbolic links to certain

debuginfo directories they did not install on the system. The links were not
functional, because they led to non-existent directories. The filesystem
packages have been amended to own the debuginfo directories to which their
symbolic links point. As a result, these links are no longer broken and point to
empty directories. (BZ#1195641)

Users of filesystem are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix
this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
