Topic

Updated firefox packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 5.

Description

Mozilla Firefox is an open source web browser.

This update fixes the following bug:

  • * Previously, two bugs appeared in the Mozilla Firefox web browser. Firstly,

mozilla-xremote-client was missing, which caused that new langpacks were not
installed on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.11. This affected fresh installations
and system language changes. Secondly, already installed and enabled langpacks
were not picked up by Firefox. As a consequence, when upgrading to Firefox
version 38, all preferences set by Red Hat disappeared. This update fixes the
spec file, and all set-up preferences now preserve the aforementioned Firefox
upgrade. (BZ#1221600)

Users of Firefox are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix
this bug. After installing the update, Firefox must be restarted for the changes
to take effect.
