Updated squashfs-tools packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

SquashFS is a highly compressed read-only file system for Linux. These packages
contain the utilities for manipulating squashfs file systems.

This update fixes the following bug:

• Previously, the "mksquashfs" command incorrectly wrote multiple zeroes into

the final 128 kilobytes of the targeted file. As a consequence, applications
using the SquashFS file system, such as the Anaconda installer, in some cases
failed or became non-functional. With this update, "mksquashfs" no longer writes
unintended zeroes into files, which prevents the described problems.

Users of squashfs-tools are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which
fix this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
