An updated python-configshell package that fixes several bugs and adds various enhancements is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

The python-configshell package provides a library for implementing configuration
command line interfaces for the Python programming environment.

The python-configshell package has been upgraded to upstream version 1.1.fb14,
which provides a number of bug fixes and enhancements over the previous version.
Specifically, this rebase includes the following bug fixes:

Previously, executing the "targetcli [cmd]" command always returned a success
status code, which made writing shell scripts that handled errors very
difficult. Now, if an error occurs in "targetcli [cmd]", a nonzero status code
is returned.

Prior to this update, running "help" by itself without a command caused an
exception, which could confuse the user. This has been fixed, and the exception
is now handled as expected. (BZ#1151189)

This update also fixes the following bug:

• Previously, some targetcli commands generated a traceback error when the grep

command was executed on them, which prevented the user from investigating the
grep output. A patch has been provided to fix this bug, and the "targetcli grep"
command now works as intended. (BZ#1061157)

Users of python-configshell are advised to upgrade to this updated package,
which fixes these bugs and adds these enhancements.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
