Updated crda packages that fix two bugs are now available for Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 7.

Description

The crda packages contain the Central Regulatory Domain Agent that provides the
kernel with the wireless regulatory rules for a given jurisdiction.

This update fixes the following bugs:

• Prior to this update, the setregdomain utility occasionally terminated

unexpectedly without reporting an error. As a consequence, the user had
difficulty recognizing such failures. This bug has been fixed, and
setregdomain calls now log appropriate error messages. (BZ#1096818)

• Previously, the regulatory database packaged with the crda packages

was out of date, which prevented users of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 wireless
LAN from complying with local government regulations. This update provides
regulatory database upgrade with data from 13 June 2014, thus fixing the bug. In
addition, logging commands have been added to the setregdomain utility making it
easier to track regulatory domain changes.

Users of crda are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these
bugs.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
