Topic

Updated Red Hat Storage Console packages are now available for use with Red Hat
Storage Server 2.1

Description

Red Hat Storage Console is a powerful and simple web based Graphical User Interface for managing a Red Hat Storage environment. It helps storage administrators to easily create and manage multiple storage pools. This advisory fixes various bugs in the Red Hat Storage Console org.ovirt.engine-root-2.1 package. Space precludes documenting all of these changes in this advisory. Users are directed to the Red Hat Storage 2.1 Technical Notes, linked to in the References section, for information on the most significant of these changes.

This advisory addresses the following bugs:

  • With this update, a Red Hat Storage 3 node can be added in the Red Hat Storage Console 2.1 as part of the cluster by setting the compatibility version to either 3.2 or 3.3. (BZ#1144456)
  • Previously, the Red Hat Storage Console displayed the status of the Red Hat Storage nodes as non-operational as the Console was unable to communicate with the nodes as the SSLv3 protocol is not supported by the latest JDK version java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.75-2.5.4.0.el6_6.x86_64. With this fix, the Red Hat Storage Console uses the TLSv1 protocol to communicate with the Red Hat Storage nodes. (BZ# 1154578)

Users of Red Hat Storage Console are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these issues.
