Updated katello-agent packages that fixes one bug are now available in Red Hat Common for Red Hat Satellite 6.
Description
Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations
to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide
public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It also
performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard
operating environments.
Puppet is an automation software used to handle provisioning and configuration
tasks in Red Hat Satellite 6.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Bug 1163962 - A recent update in the Red Hat Subscription Manager (RHSM)
package moved the ConsumerIdentity class location and prevented goferd from
importing the katello plugin. This prevented all katello-agent functionality
from working. A fix has been added to reference the new location for
ConsumerIdentity. The katello plugin should import without any issues when
goferd is started.
All Red Hat Satellite 6 users are advised to upgrade to these updated
packages to resolve the bug above.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.
