Topic

Updated ovirt-hosted-engine-ha packages that fix several bugs are now available.

Description

The ovirt-hosted-engine-ha package enables the self-hosted engine to be highly
available. A self-hosted engine is a virtualized environment in which the Red
Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager runs on a virtual machine on the hosts
managed by the Manager. If the host running the virtual machine goes into
maintenance, the virtual machine is migrated automatically to another host in
the environment.

All Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager users should install this update,
which includes this enhancement.

Changes to the ovirt-hosted-engine-ha component:

  • Previously, when stopping ovirt-ha-broker service on a host with the running

engine virtual machine. The ovirt-ha-agent crashed and an engine virtual machine
did not get started on another host. This bug updates the broker's notification
system, and the engine virtual machine starts up as normal. (BZ#1147410)

  • BZ - 1147410 - Stopping ovirt-ha-broker also crush ovirt-ha-agent
  • BZ - 1147411 - can't start hosted engine VM in cluster with 3+ hosts
