Updated tuned packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 6.

Description

The tuned packages contain a daemon that tunes system settings dynamically. It
does so by monitoring the usage of several system components periodically.

This update fixes the following bug:

• Previously, the available profiles of the tuned daemon on Red Hat Enterprise

Linux included the "sap" profile. This was incorrect, because Red Hat Enterprise
Linux does by default not use SAP virtualization, and because the profile was
not specific enough. This update includes the tuned-profiles-sap and
tuned-profiles-sap-hana subpackages, which instead add the "sap-netweaver",
"sap-hana", and "sap-hana-vmware" profiles to tuned, but which are only
available via SAP-related Red Hat channels. In addition, the descriptions of
tuned profiles have been moved to the tuned-profiles(7), tuned-profiles-sap(7),
and tuned-profiles-sap-hana(7) manual pages. (BZ#1153063)

Users of tuned are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this
bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
