An updated memtest86+ package that fixes one bug is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

The memtest86+ package contains an advanced memory diagnostic tool for x86, AMD64 and Intel 64 computers. BIOS-based memory tests are only a quick check and often miss many of the failures that are detected by memtest86+.

This update fixes the following bug:

• Previously, instructions on how to set up the Memtest86+ tool were missing from the documentation. This update adds the readme file with instructions on how to install Memtest86+ to the GRUB2 boot loader. In addition, the manual page for the memtest-setup utility has been added, and memtest-setup now recognizes the "-h" and "--help" options for more information about Memtest86+. (BZ#1084030)

Users of memtest86+ are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which fixes this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
