Topic

Updated spacewalk-java packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat
Satellite 5.6.

Description

Red Hat Satellite is a systems management tool for Linux-based infrastructures.
It allows for provisioning, remote management and monitoring of multiple Linux
deployments with a single, centralized tool.

This update fixes the following bug:

  • Due to a syntax error in a database query, the scheduling of package updates

for multiple systems on Satellite instances that use the Oracle database backend
resulted in an Internal Server Error (ISE). The affected database query has been
corrected and all Satellite instances that use the Oracle database backend can
now update their systems as expected. (BZ#1116390)

Users of Red Hat Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated packages,
which fix this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata relevant
to your system have been applied.

This update is available via the Red Hat Network. Details on how to use the Red
Hat Network to apply this update are available at
