Topic

Updated rhevm-setup-plugins packages, that fix several bugs and add various
enhancements, are now available.

Description

The rhevm-setup-plugins package adds functionality exclusive only to Red Hat
Enterprise Virtualization Manager, and is not available for the upstream
ovirt-engine. It includes the configuration of the Red Hat Support plugin,
copying downstream-only artifacts to the ISO domain, and links to the
knowledgebase and other support material.

Changes to the rhevm-setup-plugins component:

  • Previously, engine-setup during upgrade would eventually fail and roll back if

the correct packages were not detected. Now, if the setup package currently
installed cannot be found, setup will fail early with a message advising that
the specified package cannot be found. (BZ#1057138)

  • Previously, upgrading from Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager version

3.1 to 3.2 and then from 3.2 to 3.3 would fail if cacert.conf was missing and
cert.conf existed due to manual changes. Now, engine-setup takes this into
account. (BZ#1049619)

  • Previously, RedhatSupportPlugin options defined by the user were not saved

correctly. Now, the options are correctly saved in /etc. (BZ#1073935)

  • Previously, when opting during engine-setup to broker transactions from the

Red Hat Access Plugin through a proxy server, a password was requested, even if
the 'username' field was left blank. Now, hitting enter without entering a user
name defaults to empty string, and setup continues without a password.
(BZ#1073922)
