Topic

Updated perl-WWW-Curl packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The perl-WWW-Curl packages provide a Perl extension interface for libcurl.

This update fixes the following bug:

  • Previously, accessing the value of the CURLINFO_PRIVATE option caused a

program to terminate unexpectedly with a segmentation fault. This update fixes
this by ensuring that CURLINFO_PRIVATE is an accessible scalar string. As a
result, programs can now access CURLINFO_PRIVATE as expected. (BZ#984894)

Users of perl-WWW-Curl are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which
fix this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.

This update is available via the Red Hat Network. Details on how to
use the Red Hat Network to apply this update are available at
https://access.redhat.com/site/articles/11258
