Updated xorg-x11-drv-synaptics packages that fix one bug are now available for
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The xorg-x11-drv-synaptics packages contain the X.Org X11 input drivers for
Synaptics touchpads.

This update fixes the following bug:

• Previously, the synaptics driver scaled input coordinates based on the device

resolution. Consequently, the X server could not apply the uniform
resolution-based scaling for other devices in relative mode. The synaptics
driver has been fixed to apply the scaling feature only if the X server does not
support the per-device resolution scaling. (BZ#988174)

Users of xorg-x11-drv-synaptics are advised to upgrade to these updated
packages, which fix this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant
to your system have been applied.
