Enables Red Hat Access through a new plug-in. Several other bug fixes are
included for SAM 1.3

Description

This update to Red Hat Subscription Asset Manager adds several enhancements
that improve the ability to find help resources and obtain support.

Red Hat Subscription Asset Manager acts as an on-premise service to manage
subscription information and works as a proxy for software updates on
client machines.

This release includes this important new feature:

• A new plug-in, Red Hat Access, is introduced which integrates knowledge

resources from the Customer Portal into a SAM instance. Red Hat Access
includes a search mechanism to search Portal knowledgebase articles through
the SAM UI. The new search tool is available as soon as SAM is upgraded and
the katello service is restarted. Additional information is available at

All users of Subscription Asset Manager 1.3 are encouraged to upgrade to these
new packages.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
