An Updated spacewalk-oscap package that fixes two bugs is now available for Red
Hat Network Tools.
Description
Red Hat Network Tools provide programs and libraries that allow your system to
use provisioning, monitoring and configuration management capabilities provided
by Red Hat Network and Red Hat Satellite.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- Due to a bug in the spacewalk-oscap code, an audit action remained in the
"pending" state when it was scheduled from the web user interface. This update
fixes the problem by redirecting the standard output of the oscap tool to
"/dev/null". (BZ#1006383)
- If the client system had no active Internet connection, the SCAP scan could
fail due to a spacewalk-oscap attempt to download files from the Internet in
order to check validity of XHTML output. The spacewalk-oscap code has been
modified and it no longer starts any outgoing Internet connections. (BZ#1009512)
Users of Red Hat Network Tools are advised to upgrade to this updated package,
which fixes these bugs.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
