Updated setup packages that fix two bugs are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The setup packages provide a set of important system configuration and setup
files, such as passwd, group, and profile.

This update fixes the following bugs:

• The setup package reserves the system static user and group IDs in the range

of 0 to 200 for various applications. This update synchronizes the list of
reserved IDs (available in the /usr/share/doc/setup-*/uidgid file) for Red Hat
layered products with the latest upstream version of this list. (BZ#998912,
BZ#998923)

Users of setup are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these
bugs.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
