Topic

Updated vdsm packages that fix a bug are now available.

Description

VDSM is a management module that serves as a Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization
Manager agent on Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor or Red Hat
Enterprise Linux hosts.

This update fixes the following bug:

  • Previously storage operations (such as creating virtual machines from

templates) were slow due to various validation checks and refreshes which were
redundant. These checks have been removed, so storage performance has improved.
(BZ#1001031)

All users managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux Virtualization hosts using Red
Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager are advised to install these updated
packages, which fix this issue.

These updated packages will be provided to users of Red Hat Enterprise
Virtualization Hypervisor in the following rhev-hypervisor6 errata:

  • RHSA-2013:1260

https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2013-1260.html
