Topic

Updated GlusterFS native client packages which fixes bugs and contains multiple
enhancements is now available for Red Hat Storage 2.0.

Description

Red Hat Storage is software only, scale-out storage that provides flexible and
affordable unstructured data storage for the enterprise. GlusterFS, a key
building block of Red Hat Storage, is based on a stackable user-space design and
can deliver exceptional performance for diverse workloads. GlusterFS aggregates
various storage servers over network interconnects into one large, parallel
network file system.

Previously, Red Hat Storage 2.0 was not compatible to store virtual machine
images. This update includes native client packages to enable hosting of virtual
machine images on GlusterFS mounts through Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization
Manager which improves the performance and volume management behaviour.(BZ
#916404)
