Topic

An updated python-iniparse package that fixes one bug is now available for Red
Hat Enterprise Linux 5.

Description

The python-iniparse package contains an INI parser for Python which is
API-compatible with the standard library's ConfigParser, preserves structure of
INI files (order of sections and options, indentation, comments, and blank lines
is preserved when data is updated), and is more convenient to use.

This update fixes the following bug:

  • Due to errors in the defaults() method, python-iniparse failed with a

traceback and the "ValueError: too many values to unpack" message was printed
when using the method. The underlying source code has been revised, and the
traceback no longer occurs when the defaults() method is used. (BZ#753891)

All users of python-iniparse are advised to upgrade to this updated package,
which fixes this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata relevant
to your system have been applied.
