Topic

Updated glusterfs, glusterfs-debuginfo, glusterfs-devel, glusterfs-fuse,
glusterfs-geo-replication, glusterfs-rdma, and glusterfs-server packages
that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Storage 2.0.

Description

Red Hat Storage is software only, scale-out storage that provides flexible
and affordable unstructured data storage for the enterprise.

This update fixes the following bugs:

  • When syncing a large number of small files, such as text files or PDFs,

geo-replication was very slow. This led to states where files were not yet
replicated or had bad xtimes, but the storage system showed the status as
OK. (BZ#810080)

  • After migrating from Red Hat Storage Software Appliance to Red Hat

Storage, an attempt to run a peer probe for the new instance failed, which
prevented the host from joining the trusted storage pool. (BZ#839397)

  • If files were deleted from the master server during a geo-replication

session, the geo-replication session went into a faulty state. (BZ#841855)

  • If retrieving an extended attribute failed, the server still set a large

size value for the attribute. A subsequent attempt to retrieve the extended
attribute set the memory request too high for the kernel, which caused a
page allocation failure. (BZ#838195)

  • If a file is created when a geo-replication session was in progress and

the use-rsync-xattr option was enabled, that file was not synced to the
slave. (BZ#842366)

All users of Red Hat Storage are advised to upgrade to these updated
packages, which fix these bugs.
