An updated rhev-guest-tools-iso package is available that fixes various bugs.

Description

The rhev-guest-tools-iso package contains tools and drivers. These tools and
drivers are required by supported Windows guest operating systems when
installed as guests on Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.

This updated rhev-guest-tools-iso package contains the following updated
components:

rhev-spice-guest-msi-4.7-5
rhev-wrapper-4.7-36

These updated components fix the following bugs:

• When switching users or logging off Windows guests while dynamic content

was being displayed would sometimes cause memory corruption. This ultimately
led to a Stop Error (also known as Blue Screen of Death, or BSOD) in the
guest. The SPICE driver has been updated to ensure that this does not
occur when switching users or logging off (BZ790446).

• When Windows guests suspended to memory (S3) the qemu-kvm process would

end, sometimes generating a core dump. Updates have been made to the Windows
SPICE driver, in conjunction with updates to qemu-kvm, ensure that suspend
and resume now works for Windows guests (BZ#688883).

• The Windows SPICE driver previously contained a check preventing selection

of a display resolution of 2560x1440. The driver has been updated and the
2560x1440 display resolution is now available for selection (BZ#690417).

All Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization users are advised to upgrade to this
updated package which fixes these bugs.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
