Topic

Updated HornetQ packages for JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 5.1.2 that
fix various bugs and add several enhancements are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

JBoss Enterprise Application Platform is an enterprise class clustered Java EE
application server integrated with popular application frameworks such as Seam.

HornetQ is an optional JMS provider for the JBoss Application Server. It can be
used in place of the default JBoss Messaging on a clean JBoss Enterprise
Application Server installation.

Warning: These packages are intended only for fresh installations. Do not
install these HornetQ packages if you have already set up JBoss Enterprise
Application Platform 5.1.2 with JBoss Messaging. Attempts to install HornetQ on
such environment cause package conflicts.

This HornetQ update for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 adds HornetQ
2.2.8.(BZ#759540)

Important: Before applying this update, back up the
"/var/lib/jbossas/server/[PROFILE]/deploy/" directory and any other customized
configuration files of your JBoss Enterprise Application Platform.

Users who wish to use HornetQ 2.2.8 in place of JBoss Messaging are advised to
install these updated packages on a clean JBoss Enterprise Application Platform
5.1.2 installation. JBoss Messaging must not have been installed previously. The
JBoss server process must be restarted for the update to take effect.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata relevant
to your system have been applied.
This update is available via the Red Hat Network. Details on how to use the Red
Hat Network to apply this update are available at
