Updated spacewalk-backend packages that fix three bugs are now available for Red
Hat Network Satellite 5.4.

Description

Red Hat Network Satellite is a systems management tool for Linux-based
infrastructures. It allows for provisioning, monitoring, and remote management
of multiple Linux deployments with a single, centralized tool.

This update fixes the following bugs:

• When a user attempted to provision a 64-bit x86 system to a 32-bit x86 system

without changing the operating system product, the system was incorrectly
subscribed to a 64-bit x86 channel. This update adapts the underlying source
code to make sure the system is subscribed to a correct channel in this
scenario. (BZ#731912)

• Prior to this update, a race condition may have occurred, causing the

satellite-sync utility to stop responding at the end of the RPM download phase.
This update applies a patch that prevents such a race condition from occurring
so that satellite-sync no longer hangs. (BZ#747631)

• Previously, the spacewalk-repo-sync utility incorrectly re-downloaded all

packages from the repository. With this update, this error no longer occurs and
spacewalk-repo-sync now downloads only updated packages, as expected.

All users of Red Hat Network Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated
packages, which fix these bugs.

relevant to your system have been applied.
