Updated nss-softokn packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 6 Extended Update Support.

Description

Network Security Services (NSS) is a set of libraries designed to support the
development of security-enabled client and server applications. The nss-softokn
packages provide NSS Softoken Cryptographic Module.

This update fixes the following bug:

• On a 64-bit CPU with native AES instruction support, the

intel_aes_decrypt_cbc_256() function did not work correctly when input and
output buffers were the same and the function call failed with the message "data
mismatch". This update fixes the code and the same buffer can be used for input
and output. (BZ#716532)

All users of nss-softokn are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which
fix this bug. After installing the update, applications using NSS must be
restarted for the changes to take effect.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
