RHBA-2011:0943 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Red Hat Network Satellite Server spacewalk-java bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Red Hat Lightspeed patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated spacewalk-java packages that fix three bugs are now available for Red
Hat Network Satellite 5.4.
Description
Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite provides a solution to organizations requiring
absolute control over and privacy of the maintenance and package deployment of
their servers. It allows organizations to utilize the benefits of the Red Hat
Network without having to provide public Internet access to their servers or
other client systems.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- Prior to this update, unusually high CPU usage by a database process could be
observed on a Red Hat Network Satellite Server installation with a large number
of registered clients. This update improves the performance of the
"errataqueue_find_autoupdate_servers" query, lowering the CPU usage. (BZ#701457)
- Previously, when a user attempted to perform a kickstart installation over a
Red Hat Network Proxy server from Red Hat Network Satellite Server 5.4.1 running
on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, an incorrect HTTP response header may have caused
the installation to fail with the following message written to the cache.log
file:
Exception error:corrupted chunk size
With this update, the HTTP response headers are handled correctly, and such a
kickstart installation can now be performed as expected. (BZ#710433)
- Due to a missing security token, an attempt to click the "Go", "Display",
"Update List", or "Select All" button on the form with system search results may
have failed with the following error message presented to a user:
HTTP Status 403 - Request does not contain a CSRF security token
With this update, this error no longer occurs, and the system search results
form now works correctly. (BZ#719504)
All users of Red Hat Network Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated
packages, which fix these bugs.
