Topic

Updated Red Hat Network Satellite Server packages that fix two bugs are now
available for Red Hat Network Satellite Server 5.4.

Description

Red Hat Network Satellite Server is a system management tool for Linux-based
infrastructures. It allows for the provisioning, remote management and
monitoring of multiple Linux deployments with a single, centralized tool.

This update fixes the following bugs:

  • Previously, running entitlement-check.py script as a part of Satellite upgrade

procedure might have failed with an error in situations where a new channel
family, which did not exist current Satellite certificate, was discovered in the
new certificate. Running the entitlement-check.py script now no longer returns
error in these circumstances. (BZ#670754)

  • Previously, running recognize_guests.py script as a part of Satellite upgrade

procedure might have failed with an error in situations where the registered
guest hardware information in the database lacked several smbios fields. Running
recognize_guests.py now no longer returns error in these circumstances.
(BZ#671014)

All Users of Red Hat Network Satellite Server are advised to upgrade to these
updated packages that fix these bugs.
