An updated openmotif package that fixes a bug is now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 5.

Description

The openmotif package includes the Motif shared libraries needed to run
applications that are dynamically linked against Motif, as well as the Motif
Window Manager (MWM).

This update fixes the following bug:

• Due to 32-bit time stamp issues, attempting to copy and paste on a 64-bit

architecture using the clipboard may have failed occasionally. With this update,
the underlying source code has been modified to ensure the time stamp always
contains a "CARD32" value, so that copy and paste on 64-bit architectures works
as expected. (BZ#647399)

All users of openmotif are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
