Topic

An updated sosreport package that fixes numerous bugs and adds several
enhancements is now available.

Description

Sos is a set of tools that gathers information about system hardware and
configuration. The information can then be used for diagnostic purposes and
debugging. Sos is commonly used to help support technicians and developers.

This updated sos package contains multiple bug fixes and enhancements and
space precludes documenting these changes in this advisory.

For details concerning every one of these changes, see the sos chapter in
the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 Technical Notes:

http://www.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5.5/html/Technica l_Notes/sos.html

All sosreport users should install this updated package, which addresses
these issues and adds these enhancements.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.

This update is available via the Red Hat Network. Details on how to
use the Red Hat Network to apply this update are available at
