An updated strace package that fixes a bug on Intel Itanium-based systems
is now available
Description
The strace program intercepts and records the system calls that are called
and received by a running process.
This updated strace package fixes the following bug:
- On Intel Itanium®-based systems, using the strace "-f" option to trace a
process that was calling the "vfork" system call caused strace to become
unresponsive. With this updated package, strace works correctly with
processes that call the "vfork" system call on Itanium-based systems.

All users of strace are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
