Topic
An updated prelink package that serves as an essential precondition for the
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.7.z nss update is now available.
Description
The prelink package contains a utility which modifies ELF shared libraries
and executables, so that fewer relocations need to be resolved at runtime
and thus programs come up faster.
- this prelink update contains an addition to the list of files which are
excluded from being changed by prelink. The nss update for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 4.7.z depends on this update to prelink.
All users of prelink are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
