An updated ypbind package that fixes a bug is now available.

Description

This package provides the ypbind daemon. The ypbind daemon binds NIS
clients to a NIS domain. Systems running NIS client programs must have
ypbind running.

This updated ypbind package fixes the following bug:

  • the ypbind(8) manual page did not contain a description of the '-p

[port]' option, which is used to specify the port to which ypbind binds.
(BZ#474184)

All users of ypbind are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
