RHBA-2009:0086 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
clustermon bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated clustermon packages that fix various bugs are now available.
Description
The clustermon packages are used for remote cluster management.
This package addresses the following bugs:
- When installing the cluster-snmp package and its dependencies,
installation of dlopen would fail because of an undefined symbol. This has
been corrected by setting LDFLAGS to += ../common/*.o -lcman in the
snmp-agent Makefile. dlopen now installs correctly with the cluster-snmp
package.
- Using the SNMPD plugin to retrieve cluster information on a blocked
socket would cause SNMPD to hang as it waited for additional data to arrive
on the socket. SNMPD no longer hangs when retrieving cluster information
from a blocked socket by setting sock.nonblocking(true) in the
get_cluster() method of the ClusterMonitor.
All clustermon users are advised to upgrade to these updated packages,
which resolve these issues.
