An updated bash package that fixes a bug is now available.

Description

Bash is the default shell for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

This updated package fixes a bug in the bash signal-handling code which,
under certain conditions (such as when calling a bash script on a slow NFS
share), caused bash to return the following error message: "/bin/sh: bad
interpreter: Interrupted system call". In this updated package, bash
handles the signals correctly, therefore allowing scripts which fell under
those conditions to complete successfully.

All users of bash are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
