An updated desktop-printing package that fixes various bugs is now available.

Description

Desktop-printing contains eggcups, a program for user print job
notification and control.

This updated desktop-printing package includes fixes for the following bugs:

• the job notification program, eggcups, would crash due to a segmentation

fault when submitting a print job to a host whose name contained an
underscore ('_') character.

• eggcups, the job notification program, would sometimes crash due to an

assertion failure when a print queue containing a tracked job was deleted.

All users of desktop-printing are advised to upgrade to this updated
package, which resolves these issues.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
