  • if the boot protocol is DHCP, unset any static settings.
  • running pkgorder on non-base products caused a traceback.
  • adding zFCP disks without specifying details caused a traceback.
  • catch LVM tools errors when creating logical volumes.
  • do not add a trailing "1" to file system labels.
  • list iSCSI multipath devices in the installer GUI.
  • fix selected device when adding an advanced storage device.
  • F12 did not work for the network configuration screen during text

installs.

  • write out "IPV6INIT=" to network-scripts.
  • close MD devices to fix RAID tracebacks.
  • use input %packages section for anaconda-ks.cfg.
  • be more accepting in which strings are waited for from SSHD.
  • allow the use of double quotes in the PXE boot configuration.
  • read network card information before showing the configuration window.
  • the back button did not work on the network configuration screen.
  • get the LCS interface name correctly.
  • include more terminfo files to fix IBM S/390 telnet mode.
  • fix Kickstart docs for "--dhcpclass" parameter.
  • fix traceback when displaying autopartition error messages.
  • fix comparison of unusual network interface names.
  • populate the Kickstart file dialog with the original value.
  • make the man pages work in rescue mode.
  • sort package list in text mode.
  • do not eject the CD before the %post scripts are run.
  • fix iSCSI so that mkinitrd can talk to the running daemon.
  • include python-iniparse in stage2 for pirut.
  • update the information contained in .treeinfo files.
  • set the format flag for new volume groups.
  • remove old IP addresses from interfaces upon re-configuration.
  • propagate hostname from stage 1 to stage 2 on IBM System z.
  • include libnssutil3.so in the initrd for IBM System z.
  • use libnl to read MAC and IP addresses.
  • fix usage of minstg2 versus stage2 in low-mem cases.
  • fix tracebacks when enabling repositories not allowed by the installation

key.

  • fix errors in the network configuration UI flow.
  • write the correct /etc/fstab so that iSCSI file systems can be checked.
  • do not rebuild initrd images for all installed kernels if no extra

modules are installed.

  • fix error reporting when bootable partitions are on logical volumes.
  • fix error reporting for RPM transaction errors.
  • do not prompt twice for network configuration on iSCSI HTTP installs.
  • update .discinfo file for Itanium hypervisor kernels.
  • allow GPT on PowerPC and 64-bit PowerPC.
  • make sure DHCP works in rescue mode.

As well, these updated packages add the following enhancements:

  • support for iSCSI iBFT.
  • support for the MPTCTL, ixgbe, and bnx2x drivers.
  • add spufs support.
  • support for specifying the DHCP timeout.
  • new option for selecting a different comps file.
  • add nicdelay parameter.
  • support SHA-256 and SHA-512 password encoding from Kickstart.
  • support network --bootproto=query in Kickstart installs.
  • add the maketreeinfo.py script.

Users should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve these issues
and add these enhancements.
