Updated hal packages that fixes various bugs are now available.

Description

The hal packages provide a daemon for collection and maintaining
information from several sources about the hardware on the system.

This updated package addresses the following bugs:

• when the /etc/mtab file included lines containing more than 256

characters, the HAL daemon (hald) failed with a segfault error.

• hald leaked memory. It did not release xml data when plugging and

unplugging USB devices from a system.

Users should upgrade to these updated hal packages which resolve these
issues.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
