An updated yum-rhn-plugin package that fixes various bugs is now available.

Description

yum-rhn-plugin provides support for yum to access a Red Hat Network server
for software updates.

Bugs fixed in this updated package includes:

  • added server fail over support.
  • yum-rhn-plugin correctly sends removed package data after update/obsolete.
  • yum-rhn-plugin correctly handles errata updates.
  • rhn_check should not fail due to yum-rhn-plugin method overrides

All users should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves these
issues.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
