Topic

New pm-utils packages that updates pm-utils to 0.99.3, fix several bugs,
and adds an enhancement are now available.

Description

The pm-utils package contains utilities and scripts for power management.

These updated packages, based on the newest upstream version
pm-utils-0.99.3, contains several bug fixes:

  • suspend did not work with various hardware configurations using

pm-suspend. The default pm-suspend(/usr/sbin/pm-suspend) file now suspends
correctly.

  • pm-utils was using PAGE_SIZE, now uses sysconf(_SC_PAGESIZE) instead.

The following enhancement is included:

  • a new hal-daemon which works with more chipsets and utilizes more

features of these chipsets.

All users of the pm-utils package are encouraged to upgrade to these
updated packages, which resolve these issues and adds this enhancement.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
