Updated kernel-utils packages that fix various bugs are now available.

Description

kernel-utils contains several utilities that can be used to control the
kernel or your machines hardware.

This update fixes a bug that caused the dmidecode utility to fail on some
64bit systems, updates irqbalance to 0.13 (changing license) and updates
irqbalance initscript to avoid starting on machines with less than 2 CPUs.

It also fixes SATA detection code in smartd a smartctl and corrects the
message printed in case a SATA device is detected. The smartd and smartctl
are removed from S390(x) architecture packages completely because there is
no hardware on these platforms which could be monitored by it.

A cpuspeed manpage based on 'cpuspeed --help' output is now included

irqbalance init script has been fixed to properly indicate daemon start
failures on uniprocessor systems

Also updated is the microcode data file which has been tested by intel.

fixed up the missing s390 irqbalance source files.

Users should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve these issues.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.

This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:

up2date

This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
