Topic

Updated anaconda and anaconda-runtime packages that fix various
installation bugs are now available.

Description

The anaconda package contains portions of the Red Hat Linux installation
program that can be run by the user for reconfiguration and advanced
installation options. The anaconda-runtime package contains parts of the
Red Hat Linux installer which are needed for installing new systems.

This update applies the following fixes:

• Added support for Xen paravirt guests installation
• Added userspace setup for Xen paravirt framebuffer (pvfb)
• Added support USB storage device installation
• Added support for IBM HEA devices
• Added support for Promise SuperTrak EX devices
• Fixed various issues with Xen 4.5-xenU installation
• Fixed cpu detection on some ia64 systems
• Fixed various dialog boxes and installer text
• Fixed installation of packages in rescue mode with SELinux enabled
• Fixed various kickstart issues
• Fixed various issues with upgrade of multilib systems
• Fixed handling of multiple zFCP devices
• Fixed handling of ZFCP devices in kickstart
• Fixed display of Japanese text in text-mode package selection screen
• Fixed installation on zSeries systems that only have zFCP storage
• Fixed premature loading of qla2400 driver
• Fixed labeling of VFAT filesystems

All users of anaconda or rhpl should upgrade to these updated packages,
which apply these fixes.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat
Update Agent, use the following command:

up2date
