RHBA-2006:0030 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
findutils bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated findutils package that fixes a bug in the xargs utility is now
available.
Description
The findutils packages contains programs for locating files. The find
utility searches for files matching a certain set of criteria (such as a
filename pattern). The xargs utility builds and executes command lines
from standard input arguments (usually file names generated by the find
command).
The xargs utility would incorrectly calculate the amount of memory it
should use, causing it to fail in some circumstances.
Users are advised to upgrade to this updated findutils package, which
resolves this issue.

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
