Updated gtk2 packages that fix a bug in GtkSocket's size negotiation code
are now available.

Description

The gtk+ package contains the GIMP ToolKit (GTK+), a library for creating
graphical user interfaces for the X Window System. GTK+ was originally
written for the GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) image processing
program, but is now used by several other programs as well.

These updated packages fix a bug in the gtk+ window swallowing (socket)
widget that caused the socket window to be resized to an unreasonably large
value. This bug affected the GNOME tasklist, window switcher, and "Show
Desktop" button, causing them to occasionally crash on login.

All users of gtk2 should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve
this issue.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat
Update Agent, use the following command:

up2date
