RHBA-2005:438 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated gedit package
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated gedit package that fixes a bug on 64-bit platforms is now available.
Description
gEdit is a small text editor designed specifically for the GNOME GUI
desktop. gEdit includes a plug-in API (which supports extensibility
while keeping the core binary small), support for editing multiple
documents using notebook tabs, and standard text editor functions.
When run on 64-bit platforms, gedit would crash when opening a file in
certain situations.
All users of gedit on 64-bit platforms should upgrade to this updated
package, which resolves this issue.
