RHBA-2005:428 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
bonobo-activation bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated bonobo-activation packages that fix various evolution interaction
bugs are now available.
Description
The bonobo packages contain a set of standard interfaces that are used as
part of the GNOME project to provide standard component programming in
UNIX. These utilities are used in GNOME desktop applications, such as
Evolution.
These updated packages address the following issues:
- - When evolution ran during a GNOME session, the bonobo-activation-server
and evolution-wombat processes did not exit when the user logged out of
the desktop.
- - The bonobo-activation utility was not "multilib" compatible, and 32-bit
and 64-bit packages could not be installed at the same time.
All users of bonobo-activation should upgrade to these updated packages,
which resolve these issues.
Solution
