What EAP 6.2.x version do I have installed ?

Latest response

Yes, I know .. sounds like a silly question. It's been awhile since I have EAP6.x installed and configured in our environments ( well months anyway ). But doing "sudo subscription-manager list --consumed" or "rpm -qa | grep jboss" does not tell me if I have EAP 6.2.2 or 6.2.0 .. It only tells me that I do have EAP6 .. but not the exact / patch version.

I am basically trying to figure out for myself if a problem that I am having is fixed in later EAP 6.2.x releases by checking the releases notes.

Hi Jesus,

You should be able to see the specific version by adding -v to the standalone or domain startup script. The last line should show the version of the EAP installation. For example:

$ ./jboss-eap-6.2.PATCHED/bin/standalone.sh -v
=========================================================================

  JBoss Bootstrap Environment

  JBOSS_HOME: /home/lcosti/programs/jboss-eap-6.2.PATCHED

  JAVA: /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-openjdk.x86_64/bin/java

  JAVA_OPTS:  -server -XX:+UseCompressedOops -Xms1303m -Xmx1303m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -Djboss.modules.system.pkgs=org.jboss.byteman -Djava.awt.headless=true

=========================================================================

10:14:35,593 INFO [org.jboss.modules] (main) JBoss Modules version 1.3.3.Final-redhat-1
10:14:35,723 INFO [stdout] (main) JBoss EAP 6.2.2.GA (AS 7.3.2.Final-redhat-2)
$

Alternately, if you log into the Web Management Console, the version will be displayed at the top of the page, next to "Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform".

Thanks. I should have looked in console.log

Also, there is a version.txt file that contains the version, example

$ cat version.txt
JBoss Enterprise Application Platform - Version 6.2.4.GA

Thank you Claudio and Jesus for the suggesstions!
