mount -t cifs not showing symlinks

Latest response

I am mounting a network share with "mount -t cifs" and the mount is not showing symlinks. Is there a way to mount that will show symlinks? The network share is running on an Isilon.

This is on RHEL 6.4.

CIFS filesystem-semantics doesn't really support symlinks. If you did hard-links, CIFS would just present as a normal file. Your other option is to present the Isilon via NFS (since NFS natively supports sym-links)
