Upgrading Ffrom 7.9 to 8.9, lists AMD Threadripper 2950X as "unsupported"?

Attempting to upgrade a machine from Rhel 7.9 to 8.9, however Leapp says:

Risk Factor: high (inhibitor)
Title: Leapp detected a processor which is no longer supported in RHEL 8. Upgrade cannot proceed.
Summary: Support for the following processors has been removed in RHEL 8:
- Unsupported Family 17h

Key: e3e9e4d2566733e2f843db9823c8568b9b6922f9

Surely a Threadripper 2950X would still be supported on Rhel 8, but I haven't found much information in the discussions that might help me here. I'm trying to figure out if it's just a bug where it's being listed as "Unsupported Family 17h" or if it's truly no longer supported before I try a clean install.

If anyone would be so kind as to let me know, please & thanks!
