  • Redhat 9.2 VM booting failure , while adding additional scsi or nvme disks

    Posted on

I am trying to add additional disks for working with LVM after OS installation , the machine is asking to power off before adding nvme disk so i did the same and when i powered on the machine , it is showing me to begin with OS installation again , i tried to move back to boot menu so i restarted the machine but after doing so it redirected me to dracut shell prompt . i had also tried to enter bios through f2 and restart but it did not worked out . i also searched for .vmx file so as to edit this file to force enter to bios but not able to find this file instead what i found is .vmxf and .vmkd files inside Virtual machine configuration file. i am stuck with this issue since past 3 days and not able to found any solution for this . Could anyone please help me with the detailed step by step process to solve this issue, i am a beginner user of Rhel linux so not much familiar with this OS .
