How to create desktop GUIs for RHEL 8.8

Good afternoon,

I am very new to using Red Hat and wanted to know how do I create desktop icons for program use (i.e. My Computer, Terminal, MATLAB, Altera, etc)? I am learning how to be able to navigate to these programs through the Terminal window, however, for work purposes to make things easier for testers I would prefer to be able to create desktop icons for easier access for them. Can anyone assist me?
